ABOUT CSI
The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) is an individual
membership technical society whose core purpose is to improve the
process of creating and sustaining the built environment. The Institute
provides technical information and products, continuing education,
professional conferences, scholarships, awards and product shows
to enhance communication among all disciplines of non-residential
building design and construction and meet the industrys need
for a common system of organizing and presenting construction information.
CSIs more than 18,000 members includes architects, engineers,
constructors, specifies and suppliers of construction products,
building owners and facility managers. Founded in 1948, CSI is headquartered
outside of Washington in Alexandria, VA, and has 143 local chapters
nationwide.
OUR MISSION
The Construction Specifications Institute advances the process of
creating and sustaining the built environment for the benefit of
the construction community by using the diversity of its members
to exchange knowledge.
OUR CODE OF ETHICS
Believing that honesty and integrity, high ideals and concern for
the welfare of the construction industry are both desirable and
necessary, and in a sincere effort to promote the mission of the
Institute, members of CSI pledge themselves to:
- Establish and maintain high standards of professional conduct
- Freely interchange information and experience with members
of the construction community
- Maintain confidentiality of privileged information
- Avoid conflicts of interest
- Avoid misinterpretation of products and services
- Promote improvement of construction communications, techniques
and procedures
OUR CHAPTER
Founded in 1958, the Buffalo-Western New York Chapter enjoys a diverse
background of over 65 members and prides itself on maintaining the
highest standards set by the Institute. |
